NEWS ALERT: RIGHT TO PLAY OFFICE IN GAZA SEVERELY DAMAGED BY AIR STRIKE

Right To Play is deeply distressed to report that our office in Al Remall Al Janoubi, Gaza was severely damaged by an air strike on October 10. Thankfully, no staff members were in the office at the time of the incident.

ALLYSON FELIX INSPIRED BY GIRLS IN MOZAMBIQUE

In June 2023, Olympic gold medalist and Right To Play Ambassador Allyson Felix returned to Mozambique to see the impact of Right To Play programs that support girls’ access to quality education and reproductive health resources. A highlight of the trip was spending time at a school where Allyson shared her story with teenage girls and joined games that teach children to claim their rights.

Policy Brief: Accelerating Foundational Learning Through The Power Of Play

Our new Policy Brief, Accelerating Foundational Learning through Play: An Effective Approach to Improving Literacy, Numeracy, and Socio-Emotional Skills, published in May 2025, explores how play-based learning can help to address learning poverty by creating inclusive and engaging learning environments that support children’s academic and socio-emotional development.

2023 Annual Report

Our 2023 Annual Report tells the story of how our teams in 21 countries mobilized last year to protect, educate, and empower children to rise above adversity. We did it using children’s language — play.

Small Hands, Big Dreams

In July 2021, more than 500 children from vulnerable communities in the Palestinian Territories attended a Right To Play-lead summer camp with activities designed to help them cope with and heal from trauma. The summer camp is part of the TOGETHER program, which was made possible with the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through Global Affairs Canada and implemented in partnership with UNRWA.
