Children in Gaza are living in fear
Thousands of Gazan children are living through a never-before-seen crisis. Many have witnessed family members and friends injured or killed. They’ve been forced to flee the safety of their homes, some with no choice but to sleep in the street. Without dependable access to water, sanitation, and medical supplies, many are at risk of serious illness and death. The terror of living under daily airstrikes will leave profound and lasting scars.

Right To Play has been protecting, educating, and empowering children in Gaza since 2009. We are gravely concerned about the impact of this crisis on children's health and well-being and on their learning. Our team is on the ground working with local partners to monitor the situation and assess children's needs.
CHILDREN IN GAZA NEED YOUR HELP
More than 50% of Gaza’s 2.2 million residents are children. Even before this crisis began, they faced numerous serious challenges. Many families in Gaza live in poverty, and struggle to access basic services like safe drinking water and sanitation facilities. The daily psychological and physical impacts of trauma and displacement have lasting consequences on many children's mental and physical health. Recent school closures and recent labor strikes have limited children’s access to education, leading to critical learning losses, and cutting children off from the protective space classrooms provide.
For almost 15 years, Right To Play has been making sure that children can access the psychosocial support they need to cope with fear and trauma, and safe and inclusive classrooms to learn in. We do that by ensuring that teachers and parents have the knowledge and training to support children's well-being, learning, and development.
Children who are living through the current crisis will need substantial support to overcome the trauma of daily violence, and the loss of family, friends, and support networks. A donation to the Children's Emergency Fund can help us reach children with play-based psychosocial support that helps them process difficult emotions, express themselves, and reconnect to hope. Your donation can also provide educational kits to children that help them keep learning outside the classroom and help to ensure that they have safe classrooms to return to when the crisis is over.
