Right To Play Tanzania's COVID-19 Response
COVID-19 has forced schools to close in Tanzania. Right To Play is working dillgently to combat misinformation being spread there, so that children in our programs, along with their families, have access to credible health resources and facts. We are also developing methods to reach children remotely with play-based education to help them cope with this difficult situation, and continue their learning.
Hear from Country Director Patrick Nyeko below.
WhatsApp groups are being utilized to train teachers and coaches on the best ways to reach students at this time. This includes public service announcements being broadcast over radio and loudspeakers in villages, printed leaflets delivered directly to students' homes and radio programming using child-friendly messaging to convey the severity of risk.
As more information and statistics become available from the program leaders themselves, we will update them on ouur country-specific landing pages.
