Assistant General Counsel, Golden State Warriors
Mali Friedman is Assistant General Counsel at the Golden State Warriors, where she is involved in a broad range of sports and entertainment matters relating to the Warriors and Chase Center, the organization's state-of-the art sports and entertainment complex opening in San Francisco this fall. Her day-to-day responsibilities include managing legal and business affairs matters across a variety of departments, including corporate partnerships, marketing, digital, entertainment, retail, information technology, community relations, and the Warriors Community Foundation. Before the Warriors, Mali worked for the National Hockey League in New York City, focusing primarily on legal and business affairs relating to media, digital, technology, and international strategy. Prior to moving in-house, she was an associate at Covington & Burling LLP in San Francisco from 2006-2014. Mali graduated from Stanford Law School in 2006 and from Princeton University in 2002, with a concentration in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. She is an avid tennis player, skier, runner, and sports enthusiast. Mali has participated on the U.S. Champions Committee for Right to Play since 2015, both from New York City and from the Bay Area, where she now lives.
